5 temples you must see in Angkor

If you have read my previous post, you would know that the Cambodian tourism association has designed a  small Tour to help tourists to visit 5 of the most interesting temple in a short period.

This tour consist of the visit of the following temples (red line on the map below):

  1. Angkor Wat, early-mid 12th century AD under King Suryavarman II
  2. Bayon, late 12th century – early 13th century under King Jayavarman VII
  3. Banteay Kdei, late 12th – early 13th century AD  under King Jayavarman VII
  4. Ta Prohm, mid 12th – early 13th century AD  under King Jayavarman VII
  5. Phnom Bakheng, late 9th – early 10th century AD under King Yasovarman I
