Unfortunately we are in a recession. It a tough period and maybe a bit scary but the question is “Are we still going out?” I don’t know for you but I still continue to enjoy my life in Hong Kong as long as I can keep my job. However it doesn’t mean I won’t try to save money when i can do it.

If you think about our monthly expenses, it leads to one question: what is the most common, frequent and expensive one that we are having every month? Any idea? Well, let me help you, its restaurant bills. Whether you are with colleague for a quick lunch break (in central area) or with friends for a nice gathering after work, we usually go to restaurant.

Lucky for us, ILoveSoho is a very useful website that offers free discount coupon for many restaurants located in Soho. They provide a wide selection for every day of the week (Monday to Sunday). You just have to pickup a day where you plan to go out; it will then list all promotion for the corresponding week day. They have different type of coupon: free bottle of wine, 10% discount, pay only 1 dinner for 2 persons, etc…

You just have to go to the website (section Promotions/All Promotions) and print them.

To summarize we can spend a nice evening in our usual restaurant without spending too much money.

However I would suggest avoiding using those coupons when you are going out on a date. It is not really romantic to show to your partner that you will use coupon to pay the bill. Well, this is just my point of view ;o)
