In the first of three tournaments to be held in the territory, 16 world-class heavyweight fighters from countries including Turkey, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Brazil, battle for a place in the finals of the ultimate Planet Battle Championship.
The fight features Thai superstar Naruepol of “The Contender Asia” fame and New Zealand’s WMC Super heavyweight Champion Andrew Peck, as well as Hong Kong’s own celebrity heavyweight, Alain N’Galani, 2006 Kuoshu All-Style Martial Arts World Champion, and 2004 Hong Kong Muay Thai Heavyweight Champion (WMC).
Planet Battle is closely associated with the Shootboxing Association in Japan, which owns some of the best boxers in the world and has drawn some fighting names made famous in other promotions such as Ramon Dekker and Jens Pulver. Many K-1 World MAX stars have made their debuts in Shootboxing. This will be the first occasion Caesar Takeshi, founder of Shootboxing Japan, will attend an overseas fight, lending further weight to the importance of the event in the martial arts world.

The first fight commences at 7:00pm, with the show opening at 6:30pm, and will take place at Hi-Tec – Star Hall, Kowloon Bay.
