tenThere is new seminar organized by T.E.N Association about how any entrepreneur can become a highly effective sales person. It will occur on the 14th of May 2009 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The speaker is Mr. Anthony G. Solimini Jr. He graduated in 1984 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, with a major in Mathematics/Computer Science.  He started his professional career with First National Bank of Boston and worked in the financial services industry until 1999.  Anthony has worked in senior sales-related positions for a number of international banks, including HSBC, Standard Chartered and ABN Amro and he has lived in London, Singapore, Thailand, and – most recently  – Hong Kong.

In 2003 Anthony started his own sales training and consulting firm in Hong Kong with the Sandler Sales Institute, a prominent US-based Sales and Sales Management Training firm with more than 160 offices across the US, Canada and Europe.

Anthony Solimini is currently an independent consultant, and a consultant with Dale Carnegie in Hong Kong.  In late 2008 he published a book with the title “Trust, Comfort, Confidence – Three words that will change the way you sell”.   Anthony is passionate about personal development and sales training and has a wealth of sales experience.  He also does standup comedy on a regular basis to keep himself sharp!

There are hundreds of sales training programs, and numerous sales techniques are being taught around the world in attempts to help sales people become more effective.  However, according to Anthony many of these sales training programs are a waste of time (and money).  The reason:  They do not focus enough on the really relevant topic – the customers themselves and why they buy.

In his talk, Anthony will discuss ways of “getting into the mind” of the customer/client and how this can pave the way for a trusting relationship where the customer realizes he really needs you.   By using the right questioning techniques and understanding human psychology, you too can become a much more effective sales person.

Any entrepreneur needs to generate sales in order to become successful.  In business, as well as in life in general, we all have something to sell; whether it’s a product, a service, an idea, or our own abilities as entrepreneurs to organize and build businesses.  This event should prove very valuable and informative to those who are looking for ways to gain a competitive edge in the way they sell;  i.e. all of us.
